2016 Sparkle
Whoop! Whoop! It is 2017, that
“new resolution, new me” time of the year. I am so excited about 2017 because
2016 has been a great year for me. When a year ends on a good note it brings a
good fresh start of the new year. Let me take you back a little bit to 2016.
Here are a few highlights of 2016
Obviously the most precious
one is my ZIWA Courage Award. That
award gave me confidence, uplifted me and gave me a lot of hope to soldier on
with my life without comparing myself to anyone. It made feel like I am on
cloud 9. You can check my previous blog all the ZIWA information is
there.
2017 is my final year in uni.
YEAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! This means I need to put more work and upgrade my CV. This
year I decided to take part in most leadership positions. I applied as many as
I could. Guess what? I got all the jobs.
Aunother reason to be grateful to God.

Get ready for this third one.
Are you ready……… I found love in 2016
*blushing* . I cannot say much at this moment. It is a post for another day. Look
out for a boyfriend tag ,on my YouTube channel (Sinikiwe Kademaunga) soon.
2016 was my year to try out a
lot of fun stuff. Some of the things might sound small but to me it is
everything. The greatest thing I tried out was opening this blog. I am not the
greatest writer or creative person out there but this is a platform I have
decided to share my thoughts and experience with you guys.
I tried out a few fashion
items which I thought could not suit me. Fashion gurus out there can agree with
me that one of the things that makes any outfit looks put together is a watch.
I have always wanted to wear one but I was not sure if it won’t fall from my
hand. Now here I am, I am loving it.
I have always loved short
hair. It makes me feel unique and different. Ever since I tried short hair I
feel so comfortable with myself. Last December I took it on a whole other
level. I tried the “bald” look. Honestly I am loving it. I have never felt less
stressed in my life the way I feel now.
We cannot call it a year
without a few lessons. Here are mine:
1.
Never stop trying. No matter how big your
dreams are, you will never achieve them if you do not try. Experience is the
best teacher.
2.
Never let people bring you down. No matter what
you do in life people will always have their opinion. Do not just take any
advice you get from every Tom and Jack you meet. Be surrounded by the people
you trust, the ones who calm you down, people who love you. Some people are
just there in your lives to check your progress and criticize.
3.
I have also discovered power of social media.
It can break or build you. Once you put something on social media it is no
longer private. People already have their opinions on it. I have learnt that do
not take everything personal and keep some things private. The world does not
deserve to know about your life. you owe nobody an explanation.
I would love to hear how your
2016 was, just leave a comment below. I enjoy reading your comments. 😃
